About Us:

M-square Press is an artisan bookbinding and letterpress design studio run by Mai and Maria (M2) in a beautiful city of California – San Francisco. With their passion and skills, they continued to follow their dreams and hearts to present and sell all kinds of handmade cards and journals. M-square Press wants to remind the city of the magic created by handmade products too often forgotten in our technological world. Although the process from design concepting to letterpress printing, to book binding can be tedious, their patience and determination brings them to celebrate the joy of the result. Their handmade products are printed with a vintage 1890s Chandler and Price platen press and 1940s Kelsey Excelsior press. Type is either set by hand using old metal type form or custom created in photopolymer plates. Their products are made in small batches and limited editions, every stitch hand-bound, and packaged individually by hand.

M-square Press is for a green environment, using recycled paper, re-usable materials, and reclaimed objects to create their handmade treasures.
